Sistren Leslie,
You add joy and beauty to the world!
After just a quick glance, the only difference I see is the foot.

I can see the difference. More details and background. Lovely watercolor. I'm not even close to being a painter artist. My last use of watercolor was in grammar school. I was good at making black. (Mix all the colors together) Thanks for sharing the finished product.
Bev
LR-Thanks for the visit! The big difference is the background and I added some detail to the flowers. I guess it's hard to tell from the internet photos.
You're always so sweet to me and make me feel so good-thanks for that!
Love you-
Leslie
Bev-Thank you for stopping by-I appreciate it. I will have to come by and visit you and see how your show went. Good eye on seeing the changes to the watercolor-you're right on the $!
Leslie
Sistren Leslie,
Funny, I was deliberately blocking out the background, because I thought I was supposed to be looking for differences in the bird itself, not the entire painting.
It was Sistren Bev's observation that let me know I was on the wrong path.
The next time you and J come down to Jamaica, please bring your art supplies. I want a mural on my back verandah.

Lady Roots
I think you are a beautiful watercolorist, and I think that the increased background depth is very effective. I love your subject matter and can't wait to see your new paintings.
I read that you planning to do a Victory dance a little later, but we're already dancing over here at Amusing Muses, a dance of hope. So drop by and cut a rug with us, if you have a moment.
Happy Change Day!
Love,
Alberta
Leslie, Thanks for visiting my blog. I can sure tell the difference in your picture. I like the colors you chose for this painting.
Hi Leslie! Thanks for visiting my blog and for the sweet comment. Your hummingbird is lovely - you have captured his hover just perfectly!
Diane :)
